Chicken Roast


Chicken Roast




Ingredients :-

  • Chicken - 1/2 kg

  •  Chilly powder - 1 1/2 tsp

  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

  • Garam masala- 1 tsp

  • Vinegar - 1 1/2 tsp

  • Salt to taste

For Masala

  • Onion- 2 ( large )

  • Ginger- 3-4 tsp ( chopped )

   • Garlic- 3-4 tsp ( chopped)

  • Green chilly- 2

  • Chilly powder- 1 tsp

  • Coriander powder- 2  tsp

  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp

  • Meat  Masala- 1 tsp

 •  Pepper powder- 1/2 tsp

  • Curry leaves - a sprig

Preparation:-

1.  Make a fine paste using chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala,  vinegar & salt.

2.  Clean and cut chicken and marinate with this paste for about an hour.

3.  Cook this marinated chicken with half a cup of water till done.

4 . Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the chicken pieces till it is crispy in the outer and set aside.

5.  Heat oil in a pan and add onion, green chilli & curry leaves  and saute till the onions become golden brown.

6.  Add ginger and garlic and saute for 3 mnts .

7.  Add  turmeric powder, coriander powder, pepper powder and meat masala & fry for a minute.

8.  Now add the  fried chicken and roast for few minutes  till it is completely dry and the masala gets well coated over the chicken.

 Serve with rice, appam or chapati.
