Chicken Manchurian
Ingredients:-
• Chicken - 1/2 kg ( boneless)
For batter
• All purpose flour - 2 tbsp
• Corn flour - 1 1/2 tbsp
• Beaten egg - 1
• Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
• Salt to taste
For Sauce
• Onion - 1 ( small )
• Green chilli - 3
• Garlic - 3 cloves ( large )
• Ginger - a small piece ( 1 tbsp diced)
• Soy sauce - 4 tbsp
• Tomato sauce - 2 tbsp
• Chilli sauce - 1 1/2 tbsp ( as required)
• Oil - 1 tbsp
• Salt to taste
Preparation:-
1. In a mixing bowl, mix together all purpose flour, corn flour ,pepper powder, salt and egg, to make a light thick paste.
2. Marinate the chicken pieces and set it for atleast 1/2 an hr.
3. Heat oil and fry chickens till it turns light crispy. Don't overcook as chicken will turn hard. Filter the excess oil by spreading it on the tissue paper.
4. For making sauce, heat oil in a pan , add chopped ginger and garlic, saute it for few seconds ,then add onions.
5. When onion becomes translucent, add chopped green chilli. Saute it for 1 minute.
6. Add all sauces and mix well .Adjust salt to taste.( dont add too much salt, chicken is already marinated with salt) Cook it for 2 minutes. Stir continuously.
7. Add chicken to the sauce and saute well. Sprinkle some spring onion and cook it for another 5 minutes and turn off heat.
Chicken Manchurian is ready to seve... Serve it hot ... You can make a flower using spring onion stalk to decorate the manchurian. :)
