Chicken korma
Ingredients:
• Chicken - 1 kg
• Onions - 2 large
• Shallots - 8 to 10
• Tomato - 1 large
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 tbsp
• Chilli pwd - 1 tsp
• Turmeric pwd - 1/2 tsp
• Lemon juice - 1 1/2 tbsp ( optional )
• Grated fresh coconut - 5 tbsp
• Green chillis - 4 to 6
• Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
• Cinnamon - 1"
• Cardamoms - 2
• Cashew nuts - 5 to 7
• Curry leaves - a sprig
• Oil - 2 - 3 tbsp
• Salt to taste
Preparation :-
1. Make a fine paste of coconut, green chillis, cumin seeds, cinnamon, cardamoms & nuts, by adding some water and keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a pan ,add shallots & curry leaves and saute for few secs.
3. Add the chopped onions and fry till translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for 3 mts.
4. Add red chilli pwd, turmeric pwd and salt and combine.

5. Add the chopped tomatoes and saute for 4-5 mts.
6. Add the ground paste and cook over medium heat for 7-8 mts
.
7. Add lemon juice and chicken pieces and combine. Cook without lid for 5-6 mts
. 8. Add 3 cups of water and cook with lid on simmer till the chicken is tender and the gravy thickens.
Chicken korma is ready.... Serve it with rice or chapathi...
