Mashed Tapioca /Kappa Vevichathu




Ingredients :-

• Tapioca - 1/2 kg

• Grated coconut - 1 cup

• Greenchillies - 3 nos

• Shallots - 3

• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

• Cumin seeds - 1 pinch

• Garlic - 2 cloves

• Salt to taste

• Curry leaves

Preparation :-

 1. Clean and cut the tapioca into small pieces.

 2.  Heat a vessel and boil water with salt.

 3.  Cook the tapioca pieces in boiling water,till they are well cooked (it should be cooked in such a way that ,easy to mash).

 4.  Grind all the remaining ingredients to make a paste.

 5.  When the tapioca is done ,drain the excess water and mix it well with the coconut paste and curry leaves.

 6.  Add salt to taste....combine it well so that all the tapioca pieces have mashed well.

    Serve Hot
