Fish curry

 Fish curry





Ingredients:-

 .•  Fish - 1/2 kg

 .•  Shallots  - 3 to 5

 .•  Tomato – 1 ( medium )

 .•  Garlic  – 1 tbsp (chopped)

 .•  Ginger – small piece (finely chopped)

  •  Green chilli - 2 or 3 

 .•  Tamarind ( kudam puli) –  3 or 4 ( medium size)

 .•  Chilli powder – 2 tsp or as required

 .•  Coriander powder – 2 tsp

  •  Turmeric powder – ½ tsp

 .•  Mustard seeds – 1/2  tsp

  •. Fenugreek seeds – ½ tsp ( optional )

  •. Oil – 2tbsp / as required

  •  Curry leaves – 1 sprig

. •  Salt – to taste

 Preparation:-

 1. Take a kadai and heat oil and add mustard seeds.

 2. When it start to crackle, add fenugreek seeds, garlic, ginger and curry leaves.

 3.  Add chopped onions. Fry on medium flame until they turn into golden yellow colour.

 4. Add chopped tomatoes ,green chilli and salt. Fry until the oil separates from the mixture.

 5. Now add chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder. Fry for few seconds.

 6. Then add tamarind and water, mix it well.

 7. Add the fish pieces and allow to  boil for another 10 mins or your desired consistency.

 Remove from the heat. Spicy fish curry is ready.

 Serve it  with  rice
